Rima Muna started drawing when she was 2. Her mother’s lipstick her paintbrush; the wall her canvas. Born in Lebanon, Rima lived in England, Greece, and Dubai before attending the University of Oregon and graduating with a BFA in Visual design. After working in the commercial and entertainment industry, she completed a Master’s degree in Art Education from University of California Santa Barbara and taught high school. She now works full-time as an artist. Rima’s work is influenced by her love of travel. Bali, Spain and Mexico have been influential in creating Rima’s intense palette of deep, rich colors. Her style is influenced by the abstract expressionists who believed that painting could express spiritual and emotional truths. As a former piano player and vocalist, music is one of the greatest inspirations for Rima. Spirituality and nature also act as points of inspiration and undercurrents in her work. She is currently being represented by Charles Karen Gallery in Singapore.
